This Math lesson plan is not only fun, but also provides sensory stimulation. This lesson plan emphasizes: one-to-one correspondence, counting, adding, and subtracting.
MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES NEEDED:
1. Small Pair of Tongs
2. Light Brown Construction Paper
3. Sharpie
4. Multi-colored Fuzzy Balls
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. The child will learn one-to-one correspondence in conjunction with counting.
2. The child will learn the concept of addition and subtraction.
3.. 90% of the children will identify the number of fuzzy balls to the number on the cone.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Precut the "Ice Cream Cones" by drawing multiple small triangles (small enough, but big enough to write numbers 1-10 on each cone).
2. Write 1-10 with a Sharpie on each cone.
3. Then place the multi-colored fuzzy balls in a bowl.
4. Then give each child a pair of tongs and encourage them to count each fuzzy ball and match with the reciprocating number.
